5,5, years since we started !!! Time to roll the boat out and launch it !!!

The weather did not really co-operate with us. It had been a couple nice and sunny days and as soon as we started to pull the boat out we got a little snow-drizzle...
Oli mielenkiintoista nähdä vene ensimmäistä kertaa ulkona. Mittasuhteet, hytin muodot, yms. tulivat näkyviin. Värikin oli hieman erilainen kuin sisätiloissa.
It was interesting to see the boat outside. This was the first time that we could see how the cabin-tops are propotioned in relation to the hull and the way their shape fits with the rest of the boat. Even the color looked slightly different in the natural light.
Paatti siirrettiin satamaan peräsimen asennusta varten, Verstaalla ei ollut tilaa asentaa peräsintä joten se piti tehdä satamassa, kuivalla maalla.
The boat was taken to the harbor and laid on dry land for additional day because the rudder needed to be fitted prior launching.
Kaikki meni hienosti ja ilman vastoinkäymisiä ja vene on laskuvalmis !!
All went well with the rudder and the boat is ready for launch !!

Slowly but surely the boat floated off the trailer and it looks beautiful. The draft is exactly as the height as we envisioned, Good job !!!

We hoisted the mast and the booms off the boat and took it for a little spin around the harbor

Ja näin on koko paketti paikallaan...Seuraavaksi nostimme kahvelipurjeen alapuomin paikalleen. Yläpuomi oli mastolla valmiina noston aikana.
Everything fit in perfectly as planned...We tied the gaff boom on the mast as we hoisted it onboard. This was mainly due to the number of ropes attached to that boom. Now it was time to lift in and assembly the main boom.
Isopurje on paikallaan ja vene kelluu !!! Uudet seikkailut voi alkaa kohtapikaa !!!
The mainsail is on its' place and the boat is floating nicely with barely any leaks. We are almost ready for the next chapter and actual sailing experiences !!!
